What a great few days. I am so proud of World Star; he was so brave in his two demonstration sessions with HansPeter Minderhoud and Edward Gal. The first demonstration was on the Thursday and after a short but very valuable lesson with Edward in the morning, it was our turn to perform to the crowd in the 20mx20m arena located between well over 100 trade stands. Even though it was the first day of Equitana, the stands were full and there was standing room only. World Star coped amazingly with the crowds of people who had come to get a glimpse of Edward and HansPeter. World Star improved throughout our session with great tips from HansPeter. Both World Star and I had lots of fun and I hope the crowd did too.
In the late afternoon it was time for the second demonstration this time with Edward and again the stands were full while crowds surrounded the remaining areas of the arena were up to 10 people deep. During this session all the excellent tips Edward gave us improved World Star’s softness, the frame, the impulsion and so by the end of just the 20min session, he felt absolutely amazing!!! Yet again World Star handled the crowd with ease and seemed to enjoy the work and attention. Saturday was a relaxing day for us while Edward and HansPeter provided the crowd with some valuable tips in the Masterclass. Afterwards we were fortunate enough to steal both Edward and HansPeter away for some quick photos for It was greatly appreciated that both Edward and HansPeter were more than happy to take time out of their busy schedule to pose for the photos as they were quickly surrounded by fans shortly after while trying to head to other commitments for Equitana Sydney. Thankyou should go to the organisers and volunteers of Equitana Sydney. Without them, the entire show, from the trade stalls, arena management, crowd control and the publicity it created for the sport, would have never been possible. It was a great event which we hope will be back to Sydney soon. Finally a big THANK YOU to Edward and Hans Peter for all your help; working with you both has been an amazing experience. You have given me some great training tips to take home and work on. Thanks again for taking the time out of your busy schedules to come to Australia. |
